blogging for a cause: billy joel

Billy Joel is one of my greatest inspirations in life. When I was about 6 years old, one of his greatest hits "Uptown Girl" was my favorite song. I proceeded to memorize the lyrics to every song in his album of greatest hits. When I come across times of trouble, I relate to "Only the Good Die Young."
One of his great albums was "The Entertainer" which featured one of the best songs of all time.... "We Didn't Start the Fire." I don't quite know what he is talking about in the song, but the lyrics that stand out to me are "We didn't start the fire; it was always burning since the world's been turning. No we didn't light it, but we're trying to fight it." Pretty solid lyrics.
I aspire to be like billy in life. The fact that he is about 60 years old and significantly unattractive doesn't yeild my love for him.
<3 you Billy.
